BATON ROUGE, La. – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana (Louisiana Blue) announced it will provide rebates to approximately 113,000 individual members statewide. Members who were covered in 2024 under a Louisiana Blue or HMO Louisiana, Inc. individual plan may be eligible for a rebate.
Success from Louisiana Blue’s efforts to hold the line on healthcare costs during the three-year period 2022-2024 has enabled the insurer to share savings in the form of rebate checks to eligible members.
“While current medical and pharmacy cost trends are at historically high levels, we are pleased that efforts to improve care quality and lower costs over the past three years were successful,” said Bryan Camerlinck, president and CEO of Louisiana Blue. “As a result of this work, we are able to send rebates to certain individual members.”
Eligible individual members will receive a letter explaining the rebate this week and should then receive their rebates in the next few weeks.
