Louisiana Blue Launches MyLABlue, a New
Digital Experience for Members
Access your health plan online, on the app
or through MyChart

BATON ROUGE, La. – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana (Louisiana Blue) commercial health plan members now have an easier, digital way to stay on top of their healthcare coverage with MyLABlue, powered by Epic’s MyChart.

With MyLABlue, eligible members can access essential tools to see their health plan coverage and services, putting benefits just a click away.

Members must register for MyLABlue the first time they use it. Sign up at lablue.com or through the MyLABlue app. For added convenience, members can link MyLABlue to their MyChart account.

“We’re excited to offer a simpler, more connected experience for our members,” said Paula Shepherd, executive vice president, Health Plan Operations and Technology. “MyLABlue makes it easier for them to manage their care anytime, anywhere.”

Using MyLABlue, members who have coverage through employers or individually can:

• View claims, benefits and deductibles in one place
• Search for in-network providers and download digital ID cards
• Find upfront estimates for medical services
• Message securely with Louisiana Blue advisers
• Check the status of certain prior authorization requests
• Share access with family or caregivers
• Sync fitness data, including Apple Health

“Our new platform demonstrates our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in customer service by providing more digital solutions for our members,” Shepherd said. “MyLABlue puts members’ healthcare information at their fingertips, simplifies processes and tracking, and improves their connection with us and their providers.”

Commercial health plan members can visit lablue.com/welcome or call Customer Service using the number on the back of their ID card to get started. MyLABlue is not available for Louisiana Blue Medicare plan members at launch, although these members will be added in a later phase.
